Day 3
Okay- so I successfully managed to only survive on a glass of unsweetened iced tea while people all around me were feasting on salsa, chips, beer, margaritas, chicken (I am a vegetarian though) at Chevy’s. It was a miserable one hour.
I seem to have lost some more. I am five pounds lighter now. I think most of it is water weight. I feel considerably healthier from inside. I don’t ever want to have that “stuffed” feeling again. So I’ve decided to eat out only occasionally. Even though I love to eat outside, the food is not very healthy. Plus the portion size is too big in the US. The first time I arrived in the States, I found the soda bottle size in gas stations, restaurants to be shocking. People here eat too much. I’ve never been this fat in my entire life.
Anyway, so I do feel quite cranky. Must be the detox. It doesn’t help that the trackpad of my Macbook isn’t functioning properly. It’s only been less than a year. I took it to the Genius bar yesterday and they reset some wires. It seemed to be working fine yesterday. But it’s getting unresponsive and all weird again. I’ve set up another appointment for tomorrow. I would prefer that they replace my trackpad now. I don’t want to make these frequent trips. My warranty expires in 17 days. I do not want to pay $250 for AppleCare. I would prefer using that money to buy an Airport Express or perhaps an iPod classic. The Genius who took a look at my MacBook did give me 90 days extended warranty for my Macbook’s trackpad. Let’s see what they’ll do tomorrow.
First weekend tomorrow when I don’t get to eat/drink outside. Finding things to do will be a real challenge. Maybe it’s a good time to go sit in a park or take a nice walk. Or visit some museums. Anything that doesn’t involve food and/or drinks. My neighbors wanted to take me out for dinner tomorrow. I guess I’ll have to turn it down now.
