A day before Lehman Bros. and Merrill Lynch are set to go up in smoke, one of McCain’s advisers says that economic woes are an “exaggeration” being propagated primarily by Barack Obama. Nevermind that Alan Greenspan more or less corroborates this notion.

I don’t care if the economy is still growing. That growth isn’t being passed on to most Americans. Unemployment is up. Inflation is up. The Dow, however, is down. If someone out there is experiencing growth, I’d sure as hell like to know why most Americans aren’t sharing in it.
